Privacy notice

A short notice for a static website. It will be updated before any analytics tag is switched on.

We compare hats using manufacturers’ published specs, prices and the clinical research, and we don’t earn commission on links. How we review.

Guide to Growing Hair is a static website with no accounts, no checkout and no analytics tag until a measurement ID is added. Reading a page does not ask for your name or email. The controller is the company that operates the site. Its legal name and address are not confirmed yet, so they are not invented here.

What personal data does this site collect?

This notice covers Guide to Growing Hair, the site at guidetogrowinghair.com. Reading a page does not ask for your name or email. The controller is the company that operates the site. Its legal name, address and email are not confirmed yet, so they are not invented here. Until they are, the publisher name is Guide to Growing Hair.

Does the site use cookies or analytics?

Not for analytics. No Google Analytics ID is set, and no Search Console token is set. While those values are empty, the pages do not load a Google tag. If an analytics ID is added later, this notice needs a new paragraph first, naming the tool, the purpose and how long data is kept.

If you buy a hat from a brand we link to, that shop’s privacy notice covers the purchase. This notice covers the guide.

The site is a set of pre-built pages. There is no account, no comment box and no payment.

There is no public inbox yet. When one is published on the contact page, a message would include whatever you chose to send. We would use it to reply, to correct a page, or to handle a privacy request. Please don’t send medical photographs.

Whoever hosts the site can usually see ordinary logs: IP address, browser, page and time. We will name the host here once it is chosen. Logs are for keeping the site running, not for building a marketing profile.

A click on a brand, NHS or journal link takes you to that site, under their notice. Our links do not add campaign parameters, and we don’t receive a report of what you do after you leave.

We don’t sell personal data, and we don’t keep a reader list. If you are in the UK, you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold, which is likely to be an email you sent or a line in a host log. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

The guide is written for adults. It is not aimed at children.

If the host, the analytics or the company details change, this page should change in the same update.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no signup, no checkout and no mailing list on this domain.

Who do I contact about my data?

The company that runs Guide to Growing Hair. A public address is not confirmed yet and will be added to the contact page when it is. You can also complain to the ICO.
